Tux Racer Go
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Experience the joys of classic Tux Racer with Tux Racer Go! This endless runner adaptation brings a fresh gameplay loop to the beloved penguin racing game. Try to collect as many herring as you can before you bump into a tree or an icicle.
Controls:
- Press W to speed up
- Press A to turn left
- Press S to slow down
- Press D to turn right
- Press E to jump (you need to hold it for a higher jump)
- Press ESC to pause and open a correlated menu
Though developed as a quick university project, there's potential for more features! If you enjoy the game and want to see it grow, your feedback and interest could inspire further development.

Install instructions
- Download the File: Click the download button for the adequate platform to get the zip file containing the game.
- Extract the Zip File: Locate the downloaded zip file on your computer and extract its contents. You can usually do this by right-clicking the file and selecting "Extract All" or using a file extraction tool of your choice.
- Run the Game: Inside the extracted folder, you'll find the executable file for the game. Double-click this file to start playing and enjoy!
Note for Windows Users: Since the executable is not signed, Windows Defender may prompt you to confirm whether you trust the file. If you receive such a prompt, you can safely proceed by choosing "Run anyway" or a similar option, as the file is safe to use. If you're still uncertain about the safety of the executable, the source code is available for review. You can check the code and build the game yourself if you prefer.
